Who We Are

The Palestinian municipality of Azzun was established to serve the town of Azzun and its residents. The municipality has developed through several phases in line with population growth, particularly in the provision of essential services such as infrastructure, facilities, and other services. It operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Local Government and its regulations, and continuously strives to improve its services, including infrastructure projects and community services. It is now an independent administrative entity managing the affairs of the town and surrounding villages, such as the Azbat al-Tabib community, which was previously under its jurisdiction.

The Azzun Municipality, designated by the authority code 201100, is the local authority responsible for planning and development in the town of Azzun.

Administratively, Azzun is classified as a "Category C" municipality, one of the local authorities responsible for infrastructure services, urban planning, sanitation, roads, and social affairs. In terms of services, it falls under the Central Joint Services Council of Qalqilya Governorate, and the municipality provides the main services to the town, which are: supplying residents with electricity and water, planning the town and opening streets, monitoring buildings, crafts and licensing, establishing and organizing public markets, collecting waste, managing parks, gardens and cemeteries and other services in partnership with other institutions and bodies.
