Engineer Ayman Ismail, Head of the Energy and Natural Resources Authority, met today in his office with a delegation from Azzun Municipality to discuss ways to strengthen joint cooperation and develop the energy sector in the town. They also discussed the possibility of the municipality joining the "Shamsi Palestine" project, as well as the current electricity situation in the village and current and future renewable energy projects. The meeting also addressed the possibility of providing schools and educational facilities in the town with solar energy systems to reduce their financial costs, improve energy efficiency, and provide sustainable solutions that support the educational process.

This contributes to reducing electricity costs and enhancing the sustainability of the education sector. He noted that expanding solar energy projects is one of the most important pillars for achieving energy security and promoting reliance on renewable sources, in line with the Palestinian government's vision and the Energy Authority's plans to move towards sustainable energy. For its part, the municipality of Azzun appreciated the efforts of the head of the Energy Authority and its staff in supporting renewable energy projects, stressing the importance of continuing joint cooperation to develop the infrastructure of the energy sector and meet the increasing demand for electricity to provide better services to citizens.
