A significant and extensive meeting took place today in Ramallah between Major General Nasser Al-Bourini, Director General of the Palestinian Military Liaison, and a joint official delegation comprising the mayor and members of the Azzoun Municipality, the mayors and members of the councils of Kafr Thulth, Asla, Sir, and Jayyous, and representatives of the local community.

The meeting concluded a short while ago after a thorough discussion of the suffering endured by Azzoun and neighboring towns due to the ongoing closure of Azzoun's entrances, which severely impacts the daily lives of residents in these areas.

The delegation briefed Major General Al-Bourini on the severe hardships resulting from the closure of Azzoun's entrances and the surrounding towns, highlighting the disastrous and suffocating repercussions on the economic, educational, and social conditions caused by this continued siege. For his part, Major General Nasser Al-Bourini affirmed the readiness of the military liaison apparatus and expressed his willingness to follow up on this issue and exert all necessary efforts and contacts to intervene in order to open the closed entrances, stressing that alleviating the suffering of citizens, facilitating their movement and protecting them are at the top of the priorities of the apparatus’s leadership.
