Azzoun Municipality Organizes Free Medical Day for Women
Azzoun Municipality, in cooperation with Physicians for Human Rights, the Al-Najda Social Association for the Development of Palestinian Women, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society - Azzoun Branch, and the Al-Birr Wal-Islah Charitable Society, organized a free medical day for women on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Fatima Ghazal School.
The medical day witnessed a large turnout, with more than 200 women benefiting from the free medical and consultative services provided by a select group of medical specialists. These services included: a women's clinic equipped with an ultrasound machine, a family medicine and general medicine clinic, a neurology clinic, a mental health clinic, as well as services related to traditional Chinese medicine, massage and physiotherapy, nursing care, and a pharmacy providing free medications. Basic laboratory tests were also offered.
The medical day also included an awareness lecture on hypertension, covering methods of prevention, how to manage its symptoms, and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risk of developing it. The Municipality of Azzun, represented by its Mayor, Mr. Fouad Shbeita, and the members of its Municipal Council, extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Physicians for Human Rights for organizing this medical day, and to all the partner and supporting organizations that contributed to its success:
