A delegation from the Azzoun Municipality participated in a briefing organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the participation of ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps in Palestine.

The Mayor of Azzoun, Mr. Ahmed Anaya, and a delegation from the municipality, including council members Ahmed Radwan and Muhammad Salim, and Dr. Muhammad Matar from the local community, participated in a briefing organized by the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. The briefing was attended by Foreign Minister Varsine Aghabekian Shahin, as well as a number of ambassadors and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to the State of Palestine.

During the meeting, the mayor reviewed the suffering endured by the town of Azzun due to the escalating attacks by the occupation. These attacks include daily assaults on citizens and their property, the continuous closure of gates and entrances to the town, the resulting restrictions on the movement of citizens, and the isolation of the town. He also highlighted the ongoing confiscation of citizens' lands, the most recent of which occurred in the eastern part of the town.

The municipality emphasized the importance of conveying the true picture to the international community and the necessity of taking practical steps to exert pressure to stop these violations and provide protection for citizens, thereby contributing to alleviating their suffering.

On the sidelines of the conference, the delegation met with the Jordanian Ambassador, the Egyptian Ambassador, and a representative of the British Consulate to inform them of the situation in Azzoun, its needs, its suffering, and other matters of concern to the town.
